When I was young many of my friends wanted me to teach them how to play guitar. I developed quite a system to get them up to speed as soon as possible. Eventually people started to offer me money to teach them.
I taught at a music store here in town from 1993 to 2002. I was the only music teacher there and taught guitar and bass 6 days a week 8 hours a day. During this period I answered every question about playing guitar you could imagine.
Many of my students went on to have very successful careers and made appearances on The Tonight Show, David Letterman, Oprah, and I see on local TV here in Dallas on a regular basis. Some of my past students play the best rooms in town. Granada, Majestic, Gas Monkey...
Teaching is very important to me. I hope to pass on the information of my lifetime to the next generation of guitar heros. So many benifits to playing guitar.

Joe is a awesome guitar teacher . I started taking lessons from him 5 years ago as an adult with no guitar experience. He guickly got me to where I was able to play songs that you hear on the radio . Joe is very patient and always willing to go that extra step pushing past any hurdles. He has a super wide range of music knowledge and can pretty much play anything. I highly recommend Joe for any level of guitarist whether young or old .
I tried a few other guitar teachers before Joe and wasn't progressing or understanding well. With Joe, it all made sense! He helped me plug all the gaps in my fundamentals and taught me both theory and cool songs. This was nearly 25 years ago and I'm still reaping the benefits of lessons I took with Joe.
