Ian is a very patient & teaches in an individualized student centered manner! He takes his time to study his student to figure out their learning style whether that is visual, hands on , auditory or a combination of all the styles ! If you are stronger in one style he will make sure to use that one but incorporate the others to strengthen them . Another reason I loved Ian as an instructor in guitar is that he would incorporate theory and then something “fun” such as learning a song you personally have as a goal to learn . He also takes his time to figure out your goals , for me it was to be able to sing and play guitar at the same time . So of course vocals were incorporated with the lesson !

Ian is a very talented guitar and music theory instructor! He helped me grow as a musician and better understand the theory behind music so I could apply things like scales on my own. He is a creative and thoughtful teacher and helps to explain not just how to play music but why certain musical theory rules work.
