About Jake
I am passionate about music and you should be too.
I believe that if anyone has the desire to want to learn guitar, I can be of service.
I've been playing longer than most and charge less money.
I challenge musician norms and have an extremely broad appreciation for non conventional and progressive music, not just punk and metal.
I am all inclusive but very picky about my methods.
I don't "stand out" until you do, so what's up?

I will teach in tablature.
I have practice guitars available but BYOG is best.
I will patiently endure your favorite riffs and do my best to explore the multiple ways in attaining your progress to finally playing them.
I don't judge your taste. I'm here to get you more than comfortable with the fretboard and proper playing techniques to maximize your speed and effort.
I'm wide open on age (I have kids too). I'm wide open on genre, so long as there's a guitar involved. I'm very deliberate in the way that I teach (you get what you give, so practice). My experience is mainly aggressive styles punk/metal, improvised jazz, folk and fingerstyle acoustic.
