My daughters have been taking lessons (Guitar & Piano) from Kyle for almost 2 years. We have been nothing but pleased. He is academically and professionally accomplished which we appreciate. One of my kids is painfully shy and he has handled her shyness very well. She's out of her shell now and doing well. He tailors the lessons to meet each child's needs and is flexible to include their personal interests in music within lessons. I also appreciate that he is teaching my guitar student how to actually read music and not just chords so that later down the road, she can pick up any instrument and learn to play it with ease. Kyle has a thorough knowledge of how music works. He's patient and fun and is teaching me a lot about how to improvise on the piano, helping me to see the meaning behind all the rote learning I did when I took classical lessons as a child. He understands how to communicate concepts so that I can immediately apply them to create new sounds and enjoy myself. I definitely recommend him as a teacher, whatever your instrument!
