About Gary
I tailor my lessons to suit the needs of the student. I find innovative ways to simplify the concepts that will make understanding music and playing the instrument easy.
I enjoy helping people learn and seeing that sense of satisfaction they experience when they accomplish their goals.
I started off giving lessons to friends and eventually to individuals reccomended by friends. I have taught with charity outreach programs and other not for profit programs as well. Teaching is an art and it has to be practiced and loved to be perfected.
I have been playing for twenty five years. I am currently pursuing a bachelors degree in fine arts with the focus in music composition.

I start off by getting to know the student, what music they are interested in learning to play, how passionate they are about music, how much time they can devote to practice and ultimately what they hope to gain from learning to play (their goals and aspirations)
I have worked with student of all ages. People who want to make a career of music and those just interested in it for the enjoyment.
Find a teacher that's not in it for the money, someone who is passionate about music and about teaching it, someone who is willing to work hard and will find it a privilege to see you get an education in music with the intent of improving the quality of your life. Find someone that will equip you with the knowledge and technique that will allow you to explore the subject on your own.

Details
I am more interested in the sharing of knowledge, music education and helping to develop someone's skills on the guitar. I have found that people pay for things that they are interested in and often discard or tend not to value things that are free. If I had to put indicate a price range I would have to say about 25-30 an hour, but I am willing to be flexable and work with students based on what their needs are and what they can afford.
