I've been playing guitar for a long time now, but constantly get stuck on plateaus, so I decided that I needed to get some direction and help take my playing to the next level. I have a basic knowledge around theory, and it really interests me...I can read books about it but I needed some practical application, and that's exactly what Stevie has helped me with. I feel like there's a direction to what he's teaching...one step leads to another, and I can see it coming to fruition. Listening to music (especially old favorites) takes on a whole new meaning now that I can understand the song structure, quickly determining what key the song is in, how to figure out licks without turning to tabs, and so on. I'm at a point now where playing is a joy, it's not a struggle to find time to play every day, whether it's for an hour or ten minutes, and I'm always looking forward to my next opportunity to play with my friends or my young daughter.
