About Joseph
I teach no nonsense self defense techniques derived from different styles of karate. I hold black belts in Shotokan and Uechi Ryu. I also have trained for close to 30 years in Jiu-jitsu, Judo and Aikido as well.
Seeing the confidence in one's self build through self realization. Knowing they have found in themselves the ability to confidently defend themselves.
I began studying Shotokan at 14yrs old. Received my first black belt at 17. Following that I joined the military and studied whatever I could as long as I could. I received high level training in Muay Thai, a black belt in Uechi Ryu and became a combatives instructor in the US army. Among other styles I've invested many years of training and completed in MMA.

First is in introductions. We have to make sure I'm the right fit for your needs. Insure there are no personality conflicts and so forth. Also you must be teachable, this is an uncommon issue but sometimes can make things difficult. I begin with movement training to teach your body how to respond to certain stimuli. Then we progress into technique training.
