About Astrid
I remember being a student myself; learning something new that I had never seen before. One of those experiences was learning Algebra for the first time. Being an ESL Student, I was so intrigued by the whole adding letters and numbers together concept, but I didn't understand it quite well. That's when I would go to extra tutoring classes after school with my teacher, and I understood it and fell in love with it more and more. That's what I am hoping to do for you!

I love learning and I love teaching. I understand that most times when children struggle to learn is because something is not clicking or making sense. I like to make the complex simple and that's why I am a great fit for your child!
I have a High School degree. I went to college for a year and then started my own business in finance. I always had a passion for helping children. I might not have all kinds of experience doing so, but I do remember vividly while I was in college, I tutored a child through middle school. Also, I was part of the Tutoring Team at the University of TX- San Antonio where I helped students in college, of all grade levels, master subjects like biology and economics. I speak fluent Spanish and English as well!

I believe that a child wants to be heard. Sometimes the biggest reason why a child has problems learning is because he/she doesn't know how to express their frustrations or problems, or they don't feel heard. My job would be to listen and understand so we can help him/her learn faster.
