About Kyle
I try to approach every learning situation with a personalized approach. Not every student learns the same, and I keep that in mind when I am answering questions and trying to teach in a way that will be understood by the student. I am an engineer full time and I get to see the daily application of math. Math is not just theory or lesson out of a book. To me... math is how we conquer daily challenges.
I enjoy helping people in all that I do, and there are few feelings more exciting than when you are working with a person and it finally clicks for them. That moment of breakthrough is such a rewarding aspect of helping people learn.
I really enjoy the subject of math. It is not just numbers on a paper to me, but it is a puzzle. Once that shift was made in my mind as a kid it made learning much more exciting!
I got started working with students in college. I served as a facilitator for President's Leadership Council at Oklahoma State University, and in 2017 I served as the University's official mascot, Pistol Pete. I loved serving in those positions as a role model, but it did not really fulfill my desire to teach a subject that I thoroughly enjoy. Post undergrad, I am looking to make a little extra on the side as I am attempting to pay off my student loans faster, and more importantly I want to help people grow in an important skill that they may not feel confident in yet.
I have two Bachelor of Science Degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering respectively. As part of my coursework I completed up to Calculus III and Differential Equations.

I want to get to know them just a little to start a rapport. The first session I want to take a little time to get to know them. What are their hobbies, what do they do with their free time, and are they process thinkers or more free thinkers? This will allow me to be relatable enough to guide them as they learn, but more importantly understand how they learn.
I would say look for a teacher that fits your learning style. If you are unsure of what that learning style is... then think about the teachers you have had in school so far. Which ones do you remember being excited in their classes? Once you have identified those teachers, search for a tutor that seems to have those same qualities. At the end of the day you are the one receiving a service, so make sure you are happy with that service.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The biggest question you should answer is: Do I want to improve? No matter where a person is in their skillset there is always room to grow and learn. Tutor is not something to shy away from. I was always taught that if you want to become wise then surround yourself with wise people. A tutor can be one of those wise people that really pushes you to grow.
