About Samantha
Hi everyone! My name is Sam and I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in December 2020 with a degree in Mathematics. My mother was the president of a service organization in my hometown and from as long as i can remember, helping is my ultimate goal. I have experience with tutoring a child (grade 5) in mathematics over Zoom during the pandemic. This child ended up placing in advanced placements and was taking courses with children even 2 years older than him. With my math experience and caring nature, I offer a sympathetic and patient approach to my kids. I love to create a special bond that will be remembered. :)

I determine what the subject' grade level is. From there, I evaluate the curriculum and work from the beginning of the course. If necessary, I will even move backwards in order to create a greater understanding and future success! I work at the student's pace, making sure that they understand the core of the course material.

Perfect! My grandson continues to work with Samantha and will continue when school starts again in August. We have tried several tutors in the past and my grandson still wasn’t getting the concepts that he missed from earlier grades. Now, with Samantha’s understanding of what he missed and how to get him to where he needs to be my grandson is finally happy with his tutor and her approach to teaching him. For me (and my grandson’s dad) Samantha is a godsend ! We don’t worry about him trying to get out of tutoring and we can see that he is happy about learning math because of Samantha’s approach to teaching him what he missed and reinforces what he knows!! So glad we found her!!!
