About Michael

I make learning math a lot less stressful and I'm able to explain math in many different ways to fit whichever way the student learns best. Even though learning math can be painful and unenjoyable to some I will try my hardest to make sure the student learns in a fun and effective way. I have been studying education and plan to graduate with an elementary education degree from the University of Maryland.

I genuinely enjoy helping kids learn and helping these students make break throughs in their education. Teaching is my passion and after working in the classroom with students assisting in a math class last year I have decided that teaching math is what I'd like to do once I have a degree. Getting to know students and making learning more enjoyable for students is something I love doing and I hope to continue doing it for a long time.

I have been taking education classes at Anne Arundel Community College and I am currently transferring to the University of Maryland to finish my degree in Elementary Education.

About the lesson

The most important thing is figuring out first how the student really learns and best absorbs information. Working through practice problems together and learning about how the student learns is the first step. The next step would be finding out what the student is really struggling with and working through that topic together first, then after some time having the student work through some problems alone. If the student is able to correctly solve problems alone then we will move on to the next topic, if not then we will work together more to help the student correct their mistakes.
