About Juan
My name is Juan Molina, a 23 year-old Chemical Engineer from Maracaibo, Venezuela, I graduated with the Cum Laude distinction back in 2018 and was awarded the honor roll diploma in each of my 10 semesters at college; this makes me capable of teaching almost any scientific subject at a high school or introductory university level. I also hold a Diploma in Project Management, which I finished with an outstanding GPA of 19.00/20.00, such studies represented a great improvement to both my commumication and presentation skills. Finally, I'm currently enrolled into a master's degree in Chemical Engineering and have filled my applications to get into PhD programs in some of the top schools in the U.S., such as Harvard, Princeton and Caltech. I have an excellent level of English, which I demonstrate through my TOEFL score of 113 out of 120, and I am also fluent in spanish, which is my native language.
When I was in college I was requested to tutor a high school student for her math class and, since it went quite well and was also an enjoyable experience, I decided to keep applying my knowledge in benefit of younger students.

The first thing I do is to assess the current state og mybnew student, so I can get to understand his background, strengths and weaknesses. If there are any noticeable weaknesses, I will proceed to prepare material to reinforce that knowledge in order to make easier the understanding of more complex subjects. Finally, I help my students to go through their notes and clarify any sort of doubt they might have and, if they are willing to do so, I like to encourage them to go deeper and challenge themselves with more demanding subjects and problems.
I have worked with High School students and college students in basic STEM subjects.
The background is always an important thing, but I encourage students to take attitude into account while choosing a tutor, because even if that person is qualified he won't be able to help you if he is not willing to do so.
