About Russell
I've earned a PERFECT SCORE on ALL STANDARDIZED TESTS taken to date, including the ACT (36/36), PSAT (1520/1520), SAT Subject Test: Mathematics Level II (800/800), and SAT Subject Test: Chemistry (800/800).
I also earned a Perfect Raw Score on the AP Computer Science A exam in 2018, meaning that I was one of 193 students out of 65,000+ test-takers who earned every possible point on the exam.
With my extensive experience in testing, I am uniquely qualified to prepare students for success.
I also have extensive teaching experience, having served as a Precalculus III Teaching Assistant at Foothill College, Community Teaching Assistant for an online MITx class, and Coach of my old middle school's science bowl team. I also run a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides STEM education to students of all ages (including senior citizens!).
I enjoy working with students to maximize understanding and teaching testing tips/strategies to help students excel.

As a sophomore in high school, I served as a Teaching Assistant for a 40-person Precalculus III class at my local community college, where I wrote/graded assignments and assisted in answering student questions.

As a junior in high school, I served as a Community Teaching Assistant for a graduate-level 8345 enrollee data science/analysis class (Data Analysis for Social Scientists) taught by MIT faculty online. Served under Professor Duflo (2019 Nobel Prize in Economics) and Dr. Ellison of MIT.
PRESIDENT, ENGAGE STEM (international 501(c)(3) STEM education nonprofit)
Spearheaded initiative to provide free technology tutoring for senior citizens. Provided tutoring via phone call and Zoom during COVID.
COACH, HARKER MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE BOWL
Worked with approximately 200 middle school students throughout high school. Guided students through a intense curriculum in various fields of science, assigned HW, moderated practice competition sessions.

To begin, I will work with students to diagnose subject-specific weaknesses. For standardized test tutoring (e.g. ACT tutoring), I will focus early tutoring on explaining the structure, content scope, and breadth of the test(s) in question.
