I typically prepare a pre-test for the subject I am teaching. This helps me gauge where the student is. Then, together, we make a plan to get where they want to be.
I also like to review progress every 2 weeks with the students and a parent.

Rohit has been a wonderful computer science teacher for my 11th grade daughter. She had skipped Computer Science Principles and went straight to AP Computer Science 1, and thus had been struggling a tremendous amount in her class. On top of that, her teacher’s teaching methods didn’t align with her, and so it was extremely hard to keep up with other students. Rohit helped my daughter within the first month, much more than her own school teacher had this whole year. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a tutor.
