About Samson
I'm a high school senior who loves STEM and helping people succeed. I've taken a lot of classes and done a lot of test prep and studying and know how to do it well: 800 SAT math section, 800 SAT Math 2, 800 SAT Physics, 5 on AP Physics C, Calculus AB and BC, and Compsci. I've peer tutored at my school and also taught my younger sister a lot of math, so I know how to work well with children of all ages.
I love helping people improve and realize their potential. Most people are a lot smarter than they realize, and especially in STEM classes, its easy for a poorly taught or too fast-paced class to make you struggle when all it takes is a little bit of help for you to understand and even enjoy your work. I want to be the help you need and help you become as successful as you can be.
I'm a current high school senior but I've done well in a lot of hard STEM classes and have done a lot of test prep and scored well on tests:
- 5 on AP Physics C Mechanics and E&M, Calculus AB and BC, and Compsci
- 1580 on SAT, 800 on SAT Math II, 800 on SAT Physics
I've worked as a tutor for my peers as well as a teacher for my younger sister for math and science content, as well as English, piano, and other areas that have helped me learn how to work well with and teach students of all ages.

First, I want to understand where the student is and what their goals are. What classes have they taken? What material have they learned, and how well do they understand it? What class are you taking or test are you preparing for now? How are you doing, how are you feeling about it?
I would then work with them to set more specific goals and a plan to hit them. Specific content areas to work on, milestones to hit, measurable or visible improvements to make; amount of work to do during some time period and types of resources to use, according to how much time the student wants to put in and how they learn best.
Then it's off to the races! Gathering the right resources, checking in with the student each meeting to provide feedback and guide them towards their goals.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
- How are you currently doing? What are your specific problems? Are you not understanding new content, struggling to solve problems, or just not scoring well on assignments and tests?
- What are your goals? What is a reasonable place that you want to get to?
- How much time and effort do you want to put in to improving this subject area?
