About Sanam
As a Brooklyn Tech High School grad, currently pursuing a degree in Applied Mathematics/Data Science and working as a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin, I have gained a wide understanding of the STEM fields. My experience tutoring K-12, combined with my experience working and studying in engineering, sets my service apart. I can share the knowledge I've gained through hands-on application and prepare students to do the same!
Having a tutor not only helped me to understand what I was learning, but also helped me get a head start for what was next. I love to be that helpful force in another student's life.
In 2015, I started volunteering as a tutor at a local community center where I was tutored as a child. Every year following, I took on more students from different grade levels and grew a stronger passion for helping a community that helped me.
As a university student paying for my studies, it is no longer feasible for me to spend time tutoring for free. Since starting college, I have been tutoring grades K-8 in Math and ELA and grades 9-12 in NYS Regents, SAT, and College Prep for reasonable and flexible pricing.
I have been tutoring grades K-8 in ELA and Mathematics for 7 years. Many of my students struggle with learning disabilities, attention disorders, and language barriers; I have a great deal of experience working together with students to build a curriculum that works best for their needs and learning process.
