About Ari
My name is Ari Esters. I was a mathlete in high school before I attended college at Stanford. There are many experts who are not good at teaching their expertise (believe me, I’ve taken some of their courses). However, in my case, I have hundreds of hours of math tutoring experience in everything from algebra to college-level vector calculus. To date, every single student who has received a tutoring session from me has returned for more tutoring.
What do I do that’s different from others? Really, there is no ultimate teaching style because everyone learns differently. Each student likes my style of teaching because I tailor my style towards each individual student. This level of personalization cannot be achieved in the classroom, which is why a lot of students struggle, get bored, or remain unchallenged at school.
Overall, I believe that anyone can learn anything if they’re provided with the right tools. I’m familiar with all the tools used to teach mathematics. Along with a lot of experience, I have a knack for breaking down complex math into basic points that are easy to digest. I create a customized learning plan for each student, create challenge problems to test their knowledge, and provide weekly progress reports to parents or guardians. Whether the goal is improving grades, test prep, or just getting ahead, I’m confident that I can get you there.
