About Marty
I have taught in a variety of settings including seven years on the Navajo Reservation and five years in three foreign countries: Jordan, Albania, and Vietnam.
I have taught all levels of mathematics from general math and GED through pre-calculus.
At Joseph City High School, I was twice voted "Teacher of the Year" by my peers.
I have tutored math, accounting, and various other subjects at the community college level.
I love the joy I see in my students when they feel, sometimes for the first time, that they "get it!"
I have a PhD in hisotory. I also have more than 35 college credits in mathematics.
I have an active Arizona teaching certificate endorsed for mathematics, history, social sociences, economics, political science/government, ESL, and adult education.
