About Johanna
My approach to teaching is one that combines theory and practical. Studies show that learning is increased when more of the senses are stimulated. My lessons will be fun and flexible and encourage deeper learning - not only what is on the syllabus! Lessons can be one hour long, or two hours with a ten-minute realignment break half way through. I have a Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning and I am currently undergoing my Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. I have also previously tutored Maths, English and Science to GCSE level students. My lessons can be tailored to all levels and ages - Primary, Secondary and FE, just let me know what works best for you!
I have been teaching Animal Science for the past 4 years so have an in-depth knowledge of the learning process. My qualifications include a First Class Honours in BSc in Zoology and I have just applied to Masters courses in conservation for next year!
As you can probably tell from my qualifications, I am a massive animal and people lover - hence why I became a Lecturer in Animal Science. I have a large collection of exotic animals at home! I enjoy teaching and planning structured lessons that will make the learning process a smooth and easy one for you.

Johanna has previously taught in the animal science department of City and Islington college when I was the Head of School. She is passionate about teaching, has a great subject knowledge and is able to make difficult topics easy to understand for her students.
I only have good words to say about Johanna, I was struggling with my assignments for a while, but with her experience, guidance and engaging methods I was able to get back on top of everything and to stay on track, I would recommend her 110% and had a pleasant trusting experience.
