About Hunter
I started teaching this past year because I love watching students grow as musicians. I believe I can help your child become the best musician in their band class.
I have been playing the clarinet for 10 years, saxophone for 4, and flute for 3. I have also been singing all my life. I have performed in numerous honors' ensembles, such as the MCPS Senior All County Band, the Maryland All State Orchestra, Montgomery County Youth Choir, and the Maryland All State Mixed Choir.

When working with a new student, I ask them questions about (1) what the want to get out of the lessons and (2) how they learn, so I know how to design my lessons around their needs.
In terms of clarinet and saxophone, I can get your student very far, because that is my primary instrument. When it comes to flute, I can primarily teach students who already play clarinet and/or saxophone, who want to learn flute to play in the pit orchestra.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about what they want to get out of taking lessons on a broad scale (i.e. "I want to improve my tone & technique," NOT "I need help with this section on my music"
