About Chelsea
I have been painting for about 15 years, as a hobby. My grandmother is a very talented artist and I have watched her for my entire life. I attended art classes throughout the years starting with advanced placement art in high school. Through out school I went through various different art mediums, clay, sculpting, pottery throwing, glazing, firing, drawing, charcoal, oil pastels, oil paints, acrylic (being my main medium) and little watercolor experience. I have not ever received a degree in art or teaching, just as a disclaimer. But, I love art. All forms of it. And I see it all throughout our world. It's a beautiful thing. As an adult, my career path has been medical work. I have worked in various settings, but predominantly I have worked privately for the elderly in their homes. This is where I have been able to apply my passion for art and realized the full therapeutic weight of it. My belief is ANYONE can paint. Art is relative and when you are encouraged in that, no matter how your art piece turns out, you can paint or draw and enjoy it at any age. Having been able to lead others in painting lessons and seeing the joy and peace it can bring someone is truly amazing. In a perfect world, that is where I would focus my life's work.
