About Leeza

Hello! I am a passionate medical student with five years of private tutoring experience, supporting primary and high school students in Mathematics, English, Chemistry and Biology.

My medical studies have strengthened my scientific knowledge, communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas clearly and logically. I enjoy breaking difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps and adapting my teaching style to suit each student’s individual needs.

My lessons are designed to help students improve academically while also becoming more confident and independent learners. Whether a student needs help strengthening foundational skills, completing schoolwork or preparing for assessments, I aim to create a patient, encouraging and supportive environment where they can reach their full potential.

About the lesson

Undergraduate student passionate in helping and teaching primary and high school students to reach their potential in Maths, English, Chemistry and Biology. I have over 4 years of experience as a private tutor and my hourly lessons empower students to become independent, confident learners.

I offer both face-to-face lessons and online sessions through Zoom, providing students with the flexibility to learn in the format that suits them best. My tutoring is available for students from primary school through to high school, including senior students preparing for their HSC examinations.

My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding through discussion and carefully selected questions. This helps identify their strengths, learning goals and areas of difficulty, allowing me to develop a personalised learning plan rather than using the same approach for every student. Each lesson begins with a clear and concise explanation of the relevant concept.

A typical lesson is approximately 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for exam preparation or intensive revision. Whether a student is building their foundational skills, catching up on difficult topics, preparing for an assessment or working towards their HSC, my goal is to create a supportive learning environment and help them become confident, independent and capable learners.

Leeza used to tutor me for HSC Chem and Biology. She’s a really good tutor. She’s kind, patient, and such a knowledgeable medical student who knows how to break down complex science concepts so they’re easy to grasp. She actually made chemistry fun and engaging, and her lessons were always super clear and helpful. Thanks to her, I reached a Band 6—I highly recommend her!
