About Aaron
Aaron Miller is a passionate music teacher with over 30 years of expertise in teaching various instruments. These include piano, electric bass, ukulele, keyboard, organ, lap steel guitar, and beginning guitar. Offering personalized in-home lessons and online sessions, Aaron caters to students of all skill levels, helping them each discover the joy of music.
A graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science in biology. In addition to instrument instruction, he teaches music theory and songwriting, guiding students in understanding musical structures and creating their own compositions.
Aaron has taught in both public and private schools in Central Oregon including Cascade Academy as a music instructor, and Westside Village Magnet School as a rock band coach and keyboard teacher. Being a multi-instrumentalist has given him the unique opportunity to tour the West Coast with many great, local bands.
With a passion for music and education, Aaron Miller is dedicated to fostering a love for music in his students and providing a supportive and engaging learning environment.

My daughter started piano lessons with Aaron Miller at age seven. Aaron’s expertise and approachable teaching style helped her not only improve her piano skills but also develop a genuine love for music. Aaron teaches music theory in a way that makes sense at any age and encourages students to compose their own music with pride. When my daughter's curiosity expanded to other instruments, he encouraged her exploration, jumping in to teach her a new instrument while keeping piano as the primary instrument.
Aaron has a unique ability to connect with his students, making each lesson engaging and most importantly FUN for a child. Music is not a chore. He was patient and encouraging, always providing feedback that inspired my daughter to practice and strive for excellence. There was no nagging to get her to practice. Ever. He even helped her to utilize her music skills as a therapy outlet while she was going thru the hardships of those middle & high school years.
Aaron’s passion for music shines through in every lesson and to this day my daughter carries on that passion for music as an adult. Aaron has become family. He has been a wonderful adult role model for my daughter, and I credit his presence in her life for the amazing human she is today.
I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact he has had on her musical journey and wholeheartedly recommend Aaron Miller to any parent seeking a dedicated and talented music teacher for their child.

ANOTHER:
Our family first met Aaron at Westside Village Magnet School where my kids attended for thirteen years. He was part of the teaching team working with the kids on music. My son, Seth, became interested in piano and really clicked with Aaron. Aaron is not only an extremely talented musician, but he is kind and gentle. My son was a pretty quiet kid with a really big heart who responded best to teachers like him. Aaron was the perfect teacher for Seth! When the pandemic hit, Seth missed in person learning very much, especially his music mornings with Aaron. As we learned how to navigate living with Covid, Seth started asking if he could get back to in person learning with Aaron. Seth’s sister has an extremely compromised immune system, and we were very cautious about our family bubble. Aaron was one of the first non-family members we allowed in our home. He came weekly to not only work with Seth on music, but the two talked about all kinds of things, from dogs to favorite bands, they always had plenty to chat about. Aaron was always genuine in these conversations and his visits were a weekly highlight. Seth holds Aaron in high regard to this day as an adult who went above and beyond in his life. Aaron fostered a love of music and brought great joy to my child during a really difficult time. I highly recommend Aaron as a music teacher and am happy to further discuss our experience if requested.

My daughter has been taking lessons from Aaron for 2 years, and we are so pleased with our experience. In terms of Aaron's expertise, he brings such richness to each lesson with his depth of experience and knowledge.
