About Adam
I am 21 years old college student. I relate to the students on a personal level because I experienced this exact process of SAT studying several years ago. I can speak to students in a personable way that makes SAT concepts digestible.
I love to see the lightbulb go off in a student's head. When they are struggling to grasp a certain concept, it is almost as if there is a mental block preventing them. Once students are able to bypass this block, they light up with joy at this new understanding. To me, witnessing this is the most enjoyable thing about tutoring.
I love to see students accomplish their target score goals. The college preparatory phase of life is stressful. However, great preparation quells those stresses. I enjoy making students feel more confident in taking the test.
I am currently an undergrad student at the University of Virginia. I scored 1510 after several months of self-study and have developed skills that translate to success. I recently scored a 174 on my LSAT in an effort to attend law school. I have experience tutoring students in other departments, specifically government and US history.

First, we must outline their goal score based on what universities they are looking to attend. I then have the student take a full diagnostic of the SAT. This score will be our baseline for all improvements. Based on this diagnostic, we then will outline the student's weak areas, looking to gain points by refining these specific skills.
Enjoy the process of improvement. A driven student looking for a good SAT score can absolutely achieve it given the right mindset.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
If it is a problem in a field we have already covered, the student should have an understanding of this type of problem. The student should thus think through this problem, relating prior practice to the problem, in an attempt to come to the conclusion themselves.
