About Ranulfo
We are Aurora Colorado's premier location for group or personal training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Fitness Kickboxing, Self Defenes, Karate and Filipino martial arts.
Our lead instructor, Ranulfo Gonzalez, has been training since a child and has been teaching professionally since 1996. He has experience and expertise in the following:
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
- Fitness
- Kickboxing
- Self Defense
- Karate
- Filipino Martial Arts (Kali and Escrima)
Coach Gonzalez also holds two academic degrees and has taught professionally in the Oklahoma public school systems. While in Oklahoma, he also recieved a write up in OEA (Oklahoma Education Association) for a Martia Arts program he lead for At Risk children.
I love the connect to people.
Started volunteering as a child and never stopped teaching!
Formal education degrees in education plus almost 4 decades of martial arts training.

Great school, great community, great place to learn self defense!
What I like the most about CTA Colorado is how everyone including the instructors are friendly, dedicated and accepting! Great place to train!
This group is like a family. Everybody knows each other and their children. Everybody is super encouraging and fun to work with. This atmosphere is entirely fostered by the excellent Coach Gonzo.
This gym has a great atmosphere and are very welcoming. The fact that classes are run by a black belt is a real benefit. The attention to detail and one on one learning is something that I have had trouble finding at other gyms around the area.
The environment is very welcoming. The coaching and technique is one of the best by far. Anyone and everyone can gain something from going to this school whether it’s fitness, discipline, friends, etc.
Coach Gonzo is hands down the best kids coach I've ever come across. Hes great with the adults as well. But the way he gets the kids to understand respect is next level. Anyone can teach a sport but to teach confidence and respect as well as the sport is why we've stayed with CTA

My son goes here currently and it has made a huge impact on him. He has more respect. He has more confidence. He has fun and makes friends. I would recommend it to any moms or dads out there looking at getting her child into a sport. It is incredibly important to learn how to defend yourself.
Coach Gonzalas is amazing. He is patient, detailed, and disciplined. He will go the extra mile to help you learn. The atmosphere is very family oriented... you feel like you belong.
This has been the best experience I’ve had in my Jujitsu journey. Coach Gonzo is the best instructor and one of the best humans I’ve met. I’m very grateful every time I enter and exit this gym.
