About Lily
I’m the #1 fashion sewing teacher in the East Coast. I take Beginner students from zero knowledge of the sewing machine and sewing terminology to confidently making a zippered pouch & tote bag as well as a binder full of foundational skills in 5 weeks.
At the Intermediate level they build on their skills by learning to take self measurements, navigate a pattern and make any garments of choice.
At the Advanced level, students learn more sophisticated skills for making lined clothing and get introduced to my specialty patternless sewing method called Freehand sewing.
The aspect of teaching that thrills me the most is seeing the build of confidence in students as they make amazing progress towards their goals at every level. I love a sewing challenge; but I also know how to keep students grounded in proper balance of self-perception and self-determinism so they’re not easily discouraged.
