About Leila
I am a singing tutor with over ten years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Arts and Opera. I am passionate about helping students build vocal confidence and overcome performance anxiety. My focus is on connecting deeply with songs, especially in contemporary worship and gospel music. I guide singers to express emotion authentically through their voice.
I teach styles including Pop, Indie, R&B, and Contemporary Worship. Lessons emphasize breath control, expressive phrasing, and maintaining vocal health. I also provide live performance coaching, helping students lead congregational singing with ease. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals and comfort level.
I work with shy beginners, teen worship leaders, and aspiring recording artists. My approach balances technical skill with personal expression. Students learn to develop confidence, musicality, and stage presence. I encourage exploration, creativity, and a healthy vocal technique. Together, we cultivate a strong, expressive voice. My teaching approach focuses on building strong vocal dexterity and control. I help singers move through difficult passages with confidence. Lessons are supportive, focused, and easy to understand. Technique is always connected to musical expression.
We work on vocal agility, runs and riffs, melisma, and smooth transitions between notes. I break down complex phrases into clear, manageable steps. Breath control, tone balance, and clean articulation are practiced carefully. This helps singers stay relaxed and accurate. Exercises are designed to improve speed without losing clarity.
I support singers who perform in group vocal settings and those working alongside instrumentalists. I prepare students carefully for detailed vocal embellishments and harmony work. Feedback is consistent and encouraging. Progress is steady and noticeable. With time, singers develop precision, confidence, and grace in their voice.
