About Sarah
I started taking swim lessons at the age of six in Mexico, after a terrible experience in drowning. My parents were persistent in the importance of swimming, and hence signed me up for swim lessons to get over my fear of the water. After years of hard work, I finally joined my clubs swim team in Jordan where I accelerated in the sport. It was then that I began enjoying the competitive side of the sport, as well as the benefits the sport has to offer to your health.
After moving back to the U.S to attend school, I began my professional career in instructing swim lessons and coaching club swim team. I work with kids ages 3 to 17 years old, as well as offer adult swim lessons. I have been instructing and coaching for three years now and have helped novice swimmers develop into more confident swimmers that can train in higher level groups of a swim team. I currently provide private swim lessons for any age, and am a full time assistant coach of a swim team. My main focus and role as an instructor/ coach is providing my students with the necessary tools to learn how to swim all four strokes in addition how to properly flip turn safely. My expertise lies in developing athletes to meet swim team requirements to successfully participate in the team. Moreover I have experience with working with children as young as the age of two and assist in making them feel comfortable and safe in the water.
With the passion I have through my personal swimming career as well as my professional expertise from coaching, I can develop young children and adults to learn how to properly swim, as well as feel safe and comfortable in the water.
I enjoy being able to help young swimmers feel safe and comfortable in the water. Safety is key in improving a students ability to swim. I love seeing my students feel confident and proficient in their strokes. Hard work is rewarding!
I started teaching private swim lessons during my first year of college at a health club in the city. Then I became an assistant coach to the clubs swim team, and have been involced in teachig and coaching since 2016. My expertiese lies in teachiing young children how to swim all four strokes in order to qualify for swim team level.
I am qualified and certified in the following:
- USA swimming coaching membership
-CPR and First Aid/ AED
- Safety Training for athletes
- Athlete protection training
- Foundations of coaching in water safety training
I have been swimming since the age of 6 and have been exposed to the competitive side of the sport during my career. I currently have been coaching for three years with multiple kinds of clients, including children and adults with different needs and personal goals.

My typical approach to a new client is all varied, and mostly dependent on the age and experince/abilities of the student. I always discuss my clients personal goals and what they're hoping to achieve; that way there is a concrete plan and structure to the lesson plans. I work with kids of all ages, as well as adults who wish to learn how to swim or improve their technique and swimming capabilities.
I have worked with kids ages 2-17, as well as adults. Due to my fluency in Spanish, Arabic and English, I have been able to expand my cliental type and work with different people. I have also worked with injured athletes who require training modification that is best suited to their individual need.
