About Stanley
Hello parents and students. My name is Stanley. My tutoring journey began in 10th grade after I took the SAT for the first time and received a high score of 1560. I realized that I could really help students who were struggling with the SAT. I began working as a tutor at a well-known tutoring center in Brooklyn. Aside from SAT and college prep, I taught various K-12 subjects, specifically chemistry, biology, and math. I have experience teaching advanced science and mathematics classes such as college level chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, physics, calculus, and statistics.
Over the course of my few years working at this center, I helped numerous kids go from C students to A students, and paved the path to their success. I helped many of my peers score above a 1500 on their SATs, after receiving low scores of 1200-1400 their first tries.
I myself am currently a college student, and I know how difficult and stressful the application process is. The truth is, there is a secret formula to determine what certain colleges want to hear. My tutors and I have perfected the art of writing college essays and applications. And unfortunately, your school's advising center is not going to be enough!!
Some of the students I helped with college advising have acceptance letters from prestigious universities such as Columbia, NYU, Cornell, Harvard, etc. Through analyzing samples of college essays I have written, perfecting your creative writing skills, and educating you on the proper way to write out the application, I will help you get in to your dream schools!!
Not only have I seen success stories among high school students, but I have also seen immense growth in my younger students. Through personalized private lessons, I have helped hundreds of young students grow in their academic journey.

As an experienced tutor, I've learned how to personalize my lessons and tailor them to each student's needs.
A typical lesson runs 1 hour to 1.5 hours, depending on the subject and situation of the student.
Choosing a private tutor over a large tutoring center offers more flexibility and personalized lessons. I have taught in large centers, and I must admit that private lessons allow the tutor to focus more on the student, rather than on the group.
I am offering private lessons in any K-12 subject, including:
1. College application help (most popular) - We have tutors in prestigious universities who are well-versed in the college application process.
I myself am enrolled in a program that guarantees free medical school acceptance. Another one of our tutors is in a law school program. A couple others are in ivy league schools. We know what colleges like to see and hear from their students in applications, and we can help you get where you want!
2. Mathematics - K-8, Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, calculus
3. Science - K-8, Chemistry, biology, physics, anatomy
4. English - Reading comprehension, grammar, creative writing
5. SAT Preparation (All of our tutors have received above a 1550 and have experience tutoring SAT)
6. AP exam prep - Chemistry, calculus, US/World history, biology, composition (lang), macroeconomics, physics, statistics
The lessons are for anyone!! You can be of any age or any grade level, just looking to enhance your knowledge. I do not yet offer lessons for exams such as the MCAT, LSAT, DAT, GRE, CPA
