About Richard
I'm a classically trained Violinist that has 5+ years of experience under his belt.I have a Bachelors and Masters in studies not related to music performance. Because I do not have a degree in music, I am extending "discounted" tutoring services. Let's be honest, the price you pay for music lessons (regarding classical instruments) has a lot do to with whether or not the teacher has a music degree (understandably so). My Bachelors is in Theater Design and my Masters degree is in Library Science.
I am very aware of the economic climate and I am willing to negotiate an hourly charge based on your budget. I realize that CA has been massively defunded for music and art programs in public schools and this is tragic. I would like to help anyone interested in learning how to play the Violin, especially children who do not have available music classes at their school.
At the moment I am teaching individuals at the beginning and beginning/intermediate levels. If you are at an intermediate/advanced level or above, I suggest finding a tutor with a degree in music, who will teach more formal and advanced playing techniques.
