About Karen
I have had 100's of students in several classrooms over the past 20+ years.
I have tutored 1:1 at school and at student's homes.
I have taught Reading and Math skills in small groups, up to 8 in each group.
It is impossible to track each student I taught, however, several have gone on to college and are seeking careers of their choice. I have received awards and certification for completed trainings and merit as a teacher and employee.

I have been teaching since 1995. I believe we are either born to be teachers or something else. Teaching is ingrained in my blood and soul. I studied all aspects of Language Arts and practice honing my skills daily by reading, writing and research.
I have worked with grades K-12, and taught English and French as an adjunct professor at a local community college. I also currently substitute in elementary and adult ed classrooms.
I use various techniques and methods as different strategies work for some and may not for others.
I believe in studious diligence when learning something new, and keeping it relevant in one's own life.

Details
I would rather work with a student at my home. I can drive to your house but must charge for the gas and time. Webcam is also a choice, but I find fuller, deeper, and more comprehensive learning experiences are in person.
