About Cheryl
Hi, I’m a bilingual tutor with 7 years of experience teaching Math and Science to Primary and Lower Secondary students.
I specialize in helping students who struggle to fully grasp concepts especially when subjects are taught in a way that doesn’t align with how they think. My role is to bridge that gap and make learning clear, structured, and manageable.
My teaching style is patient and systematic. I break down concepts step by step, using both English and/or Mandarin where helpful, so students understand before applying. This means strengthening fundamentals, improving problem-solving, and developing clear answering techniques.
Beyond tutoring, I come from a professional background in strategy and communication. This shapes how I teach—less memorization, more clarity and structure, with methods students can rely on independently.

I take a structured approach explaining concepts with examples so students fully understand before applying. Lessons focus on breaking down the problem into clear, repeatable steps. The aim is to move students away from memorization towards real understanding, so they can understand the concepts and answer questions confidently in exams.
