Two master's degrees in education and history; In thinking about teaching and students, I'd first state that all students can learn, can be successful in the classroom, and can become life-long learners. We strive to encourage students to think critically and outside-of-the box. This emanates from scaffolding of new knowledge from their prior knowledge and engenders a truly rich learning experience. This is the challenge for the instructor: can we move our students from the lowest rote memorization thinking and learning skills to the highest skills of analysis and evaluation? Finally that successful task will lead students to create products of all types.
