About Garrett
As a seasoned violin instructor with 12 years of experience, I’m deeply passionate about helping students unlock their musical potential. My teaching approach emphasizes strong technical skills and the ability to sight-read, both of which are crucial for mastering the violin. I take pride in offering tailored lessons that meet each student's unique needs, ensuring they develop precision, musicality, and confidence in their playing.
Outside of teaching, I’m an enthusiastic reader, particularly drawn to classical literature and biographies of great musicians. These readings not only enrich my understanding of music history but also provide valuable insights that I incorporate into my teaching. I find that sharing stories of renowned violinists and composers can inspire my students, giving them a broader perspective on the art of music.
In my leisure time, I enjoy hiking, which offers a peaceful retreat from the rigors of daily life.
