About Alex
I’m a professional actor represented by Independent Talent. I trained at Drama Centre London and have worked across West End theatre, television and film.
Most recently, I appeared in Robert Icke’s Romeo & Juliet, starring Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe, in the West End. My other stage work includes productions at the National Theatre, the Old Vic and the Barbican. My screen credits include We Are Lady Parts (Channel 4/Working Title), Silent Witness (BBC), The Royals (Lionsgate), Murder in Provence (ITV), Drifters (Channel 4) and the BBC Films feature The Children Act, starring Emma Thompson.
I have helped students secure places at prestigious drama schools, including the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Drama Centre London and the Oxford School of Drama. I have also coached actors on self-tapes that have led to professional roles, and worked as an acting coach with the artist Mishaal Tamer while he prepared for his first film role.
I coach because I genuinely love working with actors and exploring what makes a scene come alive. Auditions can often feel pressured or intimidating, and it is easy to become focused on trying to give people the “right” performance. I want to help actors move away from that pressure, keep a sense of joy in the process, trust their own instincts and make clear, imaginative choices that feel truthful to them.
Throughout my career, I have learnt from brilliant directors, actors and practitioners, and I’m passionate about sharing the practical tools that have helped me. My aim is for every student to leave a session feeling more confident, prepared and excited about their work.

My approach is practical, supportive and tailored to the individual. I aim to create a relaxed environment in which actors can take risks, make bold choices and produce truthful, specific work without feeling judged.
For audition and scene work, we will explore the character’s circumstances, relationships, objectives, actions and shifts within the scene. Rather than imposing a performance, I help each actor discover choices that feel authentic to them while remaining connected to the text. For self-tapes, we can also work on framing, eyelines, pace and adapting a performance for the camera.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for particularly detailed scenes. You are welcome to bring a monologue, scene, self-tape brief or drama-school speech that you would like to explore.
My lessons are suitable for professional and emerging actors, drama-school applicants, older teenagers and adults. Whether you are preparing for an important audition, developing a monologue or simply looking to strengthen your approach to text, each session will be shaped around your experience and goals.
