About Damien
I bring humour and warmth to my teaching to help establish a rapport with students, bringing them on-side to make the most of our time together. I am able to encourage a struggling student to grasp those fundamentals, or push a high-achiever to understand quirks of marking keys that can make the difference between 90% and 100%.

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I help my students improve their confidence with Physics content across Unit 1 and 2 and Unit 3 and 4 through my friendly and encouraging demeanour, wealth of experience as a Physics teacher and passion for practical revision techniques to help students study smarter, not harder.
With my experience teaching over 500 Physics students at a top 20 ATAR ranked school across 13 years, I can assist any student to improve, whether starting from a 30% average or looking to push into the 99 ATAR club.

Physics teacher (12+ years experience at a top WA public school)
Physics tutor (6 years)
Commercial exam writer and reviewer (4 years)
Physics Author (Lucarelli, Trial WACE Examination Papers Physics Units 3 and 4)
Proprietor and Content Creator for Step Up In Education (online videos and practice problems spanning ATAR Physics)
Registered with TRBWA and Working with Children Check
******One on One private tuition ($100 per hour online / $130 per hour in person)******
Suitable for all types of students who want to improve. I follow the student's school program and assessment outline to anticipate the content to look at each week. There are opportunities for the student to ask questions from class work backed up by my own resources to assess student understanding and providing opportunities to see the rigour of problems presented in exams.
Available Mon-Fri evenings for online.
Available Sunday for in-person. I service suburbs within 20 min of Canning Vale - query if unsure.
