About Chloe
I'm a qualified school teacher and tutor with 10+ experience, and training with the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Maths. I have supported children in learning from 4 - 16 years old and take great pride in the success of my approach: the learner is at the heart of all learning and I adapt my content to engage and challenge them.
I am frequently complimented by parents and students alike on my ability to make learning maths something to look forward to every week! "Is the lesson over already?" is something I get often from students. Maths becomes a cause for joy, not a source of anxiety and many of my students go from hating the subject, to admitting it's one of their favourites after a few months.
My area of specialism is maths, most particularly in developing maths mastery by creating life experiences that enhance number sense. I am able to take that experience then ensure the learners are able to understand and apply that knowledge to the business of abstract (written) maths through the process of relating world experience to pictorial representations.
I'm really invested in the progress of all learners, and am often complimented on my ability to forge meaningful relationships with the students I work with, which in turn creates a learning environment for those pupils to thrive academically.
Having taught in across the key stages and supported children in home learning, I am very adaptable and have numerous pedagogical approaches to utilise depending on the area of support.

Every sequence of learning that I plan takes into account the needs of individual pupils, ensures everyone is challenged as well as given space to discover the learning for themselves. When we discover and build our own understanding, we build new neurological pathways that last, which means we make links between our prior knowledge and can keep building on it in a variety of contexts.
Everyone can learn with the right tools and experience and I pride myself on being able to provide the right environment for pupils of all attainment levels to learn, grow and develop confidence in new areas.
I have expertise with the UK curriculum, the SATs content in reading and maths as well as GCSE/Secondary support and catch up. I've taught in every year group and worked closely with children with a variety of different needs.

Having worked with Chloe, I know that she is an extremely competent tutor. She has a student focused approach and is able to help students understand difficult subjects easily. Details
The first lesson online is free. When face to face is how you would like to work we can arrange a free "meet-the-tutor" online before we meet in person for the full lessons.
Payment Terms
Payment is usually made per session or monthly - either in advance or on the day of the session, unless otherwise agreed.
I aim to keep arrangements flexible and accessible for everyone. However, to ensure fairness and consistency:
- Late payments, repeated rescheduling, or missed sessions without notice will result in a move to a half-termly, in-advance payment model.
- Once moved to half-termly payments, fees are payable before the start of each half term to secure sessions.
- Sessions cancelled or missed are chargeable.
If circumstances change or you’re experiencing difficulty, please get in touch. I’m always happy to discuss arrangements openly.
