• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I have been teaching business and marketing for the past 5 years and private tutoring became an organic extension of my practice.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  My core area of expertise is academic writing, structuring and literature review. I also support students with dissertations, essays and assignments.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  My masters degree supervisor really inspired me to push the boundaries of my academic practice and research in other fields.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  Good tutor goes beyond the transactional relationship and aims to connect with my learners to understand their unique needs and abilities.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  One of the students rushed to submit an assignment, only to realise it's due in 1 month. It's always better to take time because rushing doesn't get us anywhere.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

  Always staying up to date with the most recent academic developments in the area considering how global and fast paced research is.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  I take huge pride in seeing my students accomplishing their academic goals and developing a profound knowledge of the subject.

• What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P) ?

  I truly want my students to succeed not only in their studies but also in life!
