About Finn

I’m a dedicated and experienced French tutor with over 15 years of studying and using the language at a high level. From achieving top grades at GCSE, A-Level, and degree level to living in Paris and completing the DELF qualification, French has been a consistent and important part of both my academic and personal life.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I’ve gone through the full journey of learning French myself. I understand exactly what students struggle with—whether it’s tricky grammar, pronunciation, or building the confidence to speak. Because of this, I focus on making lessons clear, structured, and supportive, while keeping them engaging and practical.

My teaching style is patient, adaptable, and results-driven. I work with a wide range of students, including those preparing for Common Entrance, GCSE, and A-Level exams, helping them build strong foundations and achieve top results. I’m familiar with exam requirements and focus on developing the key skills needed to succeed, including speaking, writing, listening, and translation.

I also support adult learners who want to speak French more naturally for travel, work, or personal interest. Having lived in Paris, I bring not just textbook knowledge but real cultural insight into my lessons, helping students understand how French is actually used in everyday life.

I place a strong emphasis on pronunciation, accuracy, and confidence, so you don’t just learn French—you learn how to use it effectively. Above all, I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace.

Whether you’re preparing for exams or simply want to enjoy speaking French, I’m here to help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

Bonjour! I’m an experienced French tutor with over 15 years of language study, including top grades at GCSE, A-Level, and degree level. I’ve also lived in Paris, where I immersed myself in the language and culture, and I hold a recognised DELF qualification.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether you’re preparing for exams, improving conversational fluency, or starting from scratch. I focus on building confidence through practical, real-life communication while also strengthening grammar, pronunciation, and comprehension.

Having studied French to an advanced level myself, I understand the challenges learners face and provide clear explanations, structured guidance, and engaging practice to help you progress quickly. I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes—because that’s how real learning happens.

Lessons can be adapted for all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced students, including GCSE and A-Level exam preparation.

Whether you want to boost your grades, travel with confidence, or speak French more naturally, I’m here to help you achieve your goals.

À bientôt!
