About Ivy
I am a professional Flute tutor with over 11 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute for academics, personal interest, or professional development. I enjoy working with students of different age groups and skill levels.
My teaching approach is structured, patient, and student-focused. I focus on building strong fundamentals such as correct breathing techniques, posture, finger coordination, tone development, and rhythm accuracy. I believe a strong foundation helps students progress confidently.
Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, scale practice, ear training, and performance basics. These subjects help students understand music better and improve overall performance. I also help students prepare for exams and performances.
One of my unique strengths is my ability to explain concepts clearly using simple language. I provide regular feedback, structured practice routines, and encouragement. My goal is to help students enjoy learning flute and grow musically.

My flute teaching approach is based on communication, creativity, and flexible lesson planning to help students learn with enjoyment and confidence. I explain flute techniques clearly and encourage students to interact openly during lessons.
Creative warm-ups, musical exercises, and expressive playing activities make learning interesting and engaging. Lesson plans are adjusted according to student progress, learning needs, and goals.
I focus on building strong fundamentals while supporting musical expression and steady improvement. Flute lessons cover breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading.
Along with flute, I teach supporting subjects such as music theory, note reading, rhythm training, ear training, and performance skills to help students become well-rounded musicians.
