An absolutely amazing teacher that knows how to let those whom he is helping learn how they need to, something that not everyone understands. This is absolutely in the fields Simon has helped me in, such as Python, Machine Learning, and other topics of the nature. He is very knowledgeable about the fields he teaches, as well as fields he doesn't. Would very much recommend, as he is someone I've learned very much from.

I have been learning from and working with Simon for years off and on. He has served as a mentor, a teacher, and a sounding board for my projects and work. He has been proven to be a valuable resource for my professional goals of improving my programming abilities and understanding in matlab and python. Simon always manages to maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor when addressing questions, regardless of whether the question is a challenging one or something that maybe I should have known before. I remember specifically struggling with a particularly hard and trying piece of matlab code, and Simon not only made himself available as technical help, but as a sort of moral support. This help allowed me to finish the project with more confidence while also filling in the technical details that I was struggling with in the code. But what is really has left the most lasting impression is that he understands the importance of letting students learn in a way that works for them, not everybody I work with shares that ability to work outside their comfort zone. I would highly recommend Simon as a tutor. I believe his unique work and teaching experience combined with his measured approach is what makes working with him fun, effective, and fulfilling.
