About Nyla
My name is Nyla Lemos and I am currently a student at the University of Sheffield. I am only 19 years old, so it wasn't all that long ago that I had to go through the dreaded secondary school with all of its trials and tribulations, and you may be surprised to know that I didn't always enjoy English (lessons) or anything related because I just couldn't understand it. That was until an excellent teacher of mine showed me how to do things in a way that worked for me rather than the ways that maybe worked for everyone else. I want to be able to help others the way I was once helped (especially those who were a lot like me) and to succeed in any form of English whether that's English Literature, English Language, Poetry and even spellings!

How do I teach? Well, I completely understand how boring it can be to sit, read and recite things that you maybe aren't even 100% sure of, so I prefer to teach in a way that keeps all and any student engaged. I provide questionnaires/fun quizzes, and enjoyable tasks to keep you engaged along the way! Lessons will only last for 50 minutes (as that is the maximum amount of time the human brain can actually focus for) and breaks can be taken if you feel overstimulated/overwhelmed. I am able to tutor anyone from the ages of 11-16.
