About Sophia
I am a passionate and experienced VCE History tutor who achieved a study score of over 40. I love all areas of history, with particular expertise in the Chinese Revolution and Russian Revolution, and enjoy helping students develop a deep understanding of historical events and concepts.
I am currently commencing a double degree in Arts and Advanced Studies at university, continuing my study of history and further building my knowledge. Teaching history is a genuine passion for me, and I thrive on helping students improve their skills, strengthen their confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
I provide tailored lessons that focus on breaking down complex timelines, reinforcing key content, enhancing historical knowledge, and developing structured, high-scoring essay responses. With a wide range of resources, including practice questions, quotes, and essay guidance, I aim to make learning history engaging, accessible, and rewarding.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether it’s breaking down complex timelines, reinforcing key content, enhancing overall historical knowledge, or developing high-scoring essay-writing skills. I provide structured guidance on constructing essays, developing strong arguments, integrating quotes effectively, and producing clear, well-organized responses. I also offer practice questions, detailed content revision, and strategies for SACs and exam preparation to help students build confidence and achieve their best results.
History is a genuine passion of mine, and I love helping students engage with historical events, think critically, and strengthen their analytical and writing skills. I am commencing a double degree in Arts and Advanced Studies at university, continuing my study of history and further expanding my expertise.

Sophia helped me at School with year 11 VCE, she sat in the library with me twice a week. Sophia was really understanding of my need and areas on improvement. I really struggled with my essay writing and long source analysis and I couldn’t figure out how to write or structure long responses. But she broke everything down with me helped me formulate my response. She helped me go from scoring 4/10 on extended source analysis to now 9-10/10. I would really recommend Sophia if you’re struggling with History because she genuinely loves the subject and is really passionate about it. Because of this she really helps you achieve your best and has helped me go into my sacs feeling confident and prepared. Although Sophia has left school, now that I’m in year 12 and doing Revs I still call with her once a week to have her go over my responses and I am constantly improving. Thank you Sophia
