I am Felipe. I am a final year student in the Bachelor of Hispanic Studies, option to teach Spanish as a L2. I study at the Université de Montréal.

About Felipe
I am a Mexican university student living in Montreal.
I speak Spanish, English and French. My experience in learning and using several languages has allowed me to understand closely the difficulties, insecurities and challenges involved in communicating in a new language, which led me to want to become a teacher of my mother’s idiom.
I consider myself an open, understanding and adaptable person, able to adjust to the rhythm and needs of each student. Thanks to this, I can easily empathize with my students and offer a patient, close and motivating support.
In addition, I am interested in sports, music, anime and literature. This helps me connect with people of different ages and profiles.
My goal as a tutor is to help each student develop confidence in their Spanish and feel comfortable using it in real contexts, always within a positive and supportive environment.

My approach as a L2 Spanish tutor is communicative, clear and adapted to each student. I want the classes to be fun but enriching and for the student to gain confidence in the target language.
I usually combine speaking practice, vocabulary, and comprehension activities. Using methods such as music, movies, games, etc. This in order to make learning easier. Like that of a child when he begins to speak his mother tongue.
I distinguish myself by my ability to explain simply, adapt to the student’s pace and create a positive learning environment.
