About Jessica
Spanish is a beautiful language and speaking Spanish is becoming an increasingly valuable skill to master. Mastering the language takes time and hard work but can be a fun and exciting experience. This is the type of experience I strive to offer to each my students. I do this by tailoring instruction and practice to the students needs and level of comprehension while at the same time revealing the real-life application of the material in an engaging way. I look forward to the opportunity of partnering with you in the exciting language-learning journey!

Lessons are 30min-1hour for students 6-12th grade and college students in 100-200 level Spanish courses.
Lessons can be tailored to students’s needs and will include aspects of speaking, writing, and listening.
Additional supplementary materials that will be provided by the tutor include fill in the blank notes, quizlets, practice tests, review games, etc.
A sample 1 hour lesson plan…
• 5-10 minutes of review and questions on past assignments
• 20-35 minutes teaching new material, answering questions, and guided practice
• 10-15 minutes of independent practice with corrections following the completion of the assignment.
• 5 minutes of final questions and, if applicable, assignment of independent work to be completed for the next session.
Instruction is flexible based on the students needs! I am open to new ideas and methods of teaching/learning!
As a college student, I’m not perfect in the language, but I am willing and excited to share what I have learned and help scaffold students to higher levels of Spanish speaking, writing, and listening!
