About Prajit Sai

Hi, there! I am a 2302-rated FIDE Master and chess coach. Chess has been my passion for years, taking me from local club games all the way to winning the Dutch Youth Championship and representing the Netherlands at the World Youth Chess Olympiad.

For more than 3 years, I’ve been coaching players one-on-one. I love helping students figure out what’s holding their game back, whether that’s missing tactical shots, struggling in complex positions, or just feeling stuck at a certain rating.

My teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, and completely tailored to how you learn. We’ll look at your actual games, fix your habits, and work on practical ideas you can use at the board right away. Whether you're trying to hit your first rating milestone or prepping for serious tournaments, my goal is to help you build real confidence and enjoy the game even more.

My achievements:
- FIDE Master (Current Rating: 2302)
- Defeated multiple Grandmasters (GM's) in classical Over-The-Board (OTB) games
- 1st Place – Dutch Youth Chess Championship U12
- Shared 1st Place – Dutch Youth Chess Championship U14
- Shared 2nd Place – Dutch Youth Chess Championship U14
- 3rd Place – Dutch Youth Chess Championship U16
- Represented the Netherlands at the World Youth Chess Olympiad U16
- Qualified for and competed in the Dutch General Championship Qualification Tournament by winning the regional championship multiple times

About the lesson

My coaching philosophy focuses on building a deep, fundamental understanding of chess rather than relying on superficial memorization. As a FIDE Master, Dutch Youth Champion, and World Youth Olympiad representative with over three years of individual coaching experience, I help players convert theoretical knowledge into concrete board vision and results.

What sets me apart:
Having competed at the highest international youth levels, I understand the psychological and practical demands of competitive chess. My students have consistently achieved rapid growth, frequently gaining 200+ FIDE rating points through structured, personalized training plans.

Who these lessons are for:
- Beginners to Intermediate Players (500–1600 USCF/FIDE): Looking to build solid fundamentals, eliminate blunders, and understand positional play.

- Advanced Players (1600–2000+ USCF/FIDE): Seeking refined opening preparation, complex positional understanding, and competitive tournament preparation.

- Ambitious Youth Competitors: Preparing for local, national, or international events under the guidance of a proven champion.

My lessons will be on Google Meet. We will work with Lichess & ChessBase.
