About Penny
Do you want to learn English but think it's too difficult? Do you just want to improve your pronunciation? Try my lessons! I am a professional English teacher from London, now living in Figeac. I have over 10 years of teaching experience. I am enthusiastic and creative and my classes are tailored to your needs and passions. We can meet at your convenience: in a library, an office, a café, on Skype or wherever it suits you best. I am from London UK and have been trained as a TEFL teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I worked for Pitmans in London teaching business English to adults and I also taught English to children by reading writing and speaking. I then worked as a teacher in a school in Kenya for several years. Back in London I worked for the NHS as a medical trainer and a medical company training doctors and nurses in wound care. I can offer: English for adults and children We can work together on your pronunciation, grammar, reading, listening, writing and speaking skills with a wide range of teaching materials that I will provide lesson by lesson. English for healthcare professionals You will be able to improve your communication skills in English in the medical field. I can introduce specialized vocabulary into situations based on general medical practice and hospital procedures and help ensure correct pronunciation.

I am very patient and love to create a relaxed and friendly learning environment. I have qualifications and teaching experience at different levels and in different contexts. I can help the student to improve their speaking, writing and comprehension skills. The most important thing is that each course is based on the needs, interests and availability of the student. - The method is mainly what is called communicative, aiming to stimulate the pupil to speak immediately and to emphasize the functional aspect of the language. For beginners, I usually follow a specific program, I prepare a course and for each course. Lessons can be developed into conversations on specific topics.
