About Luke
My name is Luke, I'm 24 years old, and I'm an MA graduate in film, having tackled extensively almost all aspects of filmmaking and the creative process.
I wanted to offer online beginner lessons in film because I remember from early-on how difficult it can be to start making any real traction. A large section of online advice on how to get started in film simply tells you "to go out, grab a camera, and start filming". While this approach is admirable, I find simplifying the process to this extent neglects much of the craft and fails to address obstacles that might prevent a potential filmmaker from expressing themselves fully, which could kill their confidence before they've even started.
It is my belief that through lessons such as the ones I am offering, you will be well-equipped so that when you do get started and pick up a camera, you will be able to do so with confidence, with passion, and with a plan.

Across a degree in film production and screenwriting, and a Masters in creative media, I have tackled almost every role in a film set and can share with you the skills and disciplines needed necessary to take on each.
I offer hour-long online lessons for people of all ages who are looking to make their first steps in film, running you through the process of taking a flicker of an idea onto the page and onto the screen, addressing all the boxes to be ticked along the way to ensure the filmmaking process is efficient, enjoyable, and effective.
Lessons can also be tailored specifically to screenwriting, as per your preference, taking you through everything from formatting, to the three-act structure, to the fundamentals your scripts will be assessed on.
Future lesson time can be allocated to consulting on any projects or ideas you wish to begin working on.
