About Floyd
I’m a film producer and qualified teacher with a BA (Hons) in Film Production and a PGCE in Further Education. I teach A Level Film Studies, BTEC Media, CTEC Media, and English, combining industry insight with a student-centred approach. Having produced award-nominated short films, I help learners develop both creative and analytical skills, from coursework and exam preparation to practical production projects. My tutoring is adaptive, encouraging, and designed to build confidence as well as academic success.

I’m a Film Production graduate with a PGCE in Further Education and current experience teaching A Level Film, BTEC Media, and CTEC Media. I design and deliver lessons that develop both analytical and creative skills, supporting students with coursework, practical production projects, and exam preparation. Alongside media teaching, I’ve also taught English as a second language, helping learners of different abilities to build confidence in reading, writing, and speaking. My approach is structured yet flexible—tailoring each session to individual goals, whether improving grades, refining technical skills with Adobe software, or developing critical thinking. With a background as a producer of award-nominated short films, I bring real-world insight to my lessons, making learning practical, engaging, and relevant.
