About Jessica
Having sat both the A Level History and English Literature exams in Summer 2019, I still vividly remember the stress I felt regarding the grades I needed to achieve and that was without the disruption of a global pandemic. Therefore, I feel equipped to support you in terms of confidence building.
I eventually left sixth form with high A grades in both subjects. Subsequently, I can help you identify gaps in your understanding of these subjects and structure your writing.
With this in mind, I am determined to share my experiences and guide your learning.

My tutoring sessions would be centred around your requirements. Our first session would involve me getting to know your goals, strengths, and aspects you'd like to work on.
I am most familiar with the following curiculum:
- AQA The Cold War, c1945–1991 - AQA
- 1C The Tudors: England, 1485–1603 - AQA
- AQA Tragedy (Othello, Death of a Salesman, Keats)
- AQA Crime (The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, When will there be good news?, Brighton Rock)
However, I am happy to work on essay writing skills outside of this content.
During our one hour together, I would be happy to help you:
- Get to grips with the basics of argumentative writing in English literature and history
- Review texts or parts of the curriculum in which you are less confident (see above)
- Analyze exam questions and plan responses together
- Edit and improve essays you have written
I do set homework but I try to keep these tasks concise.
